Payment and Insurance

Forms of Accepted Payment

We are here for you and we try to be as accommodating as possible. We accept cash, checks, most major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and debit cards with those logos) and Care Credit (a credit card/financing option for professional services--ask us about this option if you have any questions)

Self Pay Options

Many patients in our office choose to be self paying patients. This means that they pay for services received out of their own pocket--either because they do not have insurance or have insurance with insufficient coverage or choose not to use their insurance for personal reasons. Patients can pay full price for services each time they come in, if they so choose. Another option is joining the discount medical plan, ChiroHealthUSA. Joining this program allows us to charge participating patients a discounted rate for services. The annual membership fee for this plan is just $39 for the whole family and allows us to charge only $35 per person for each date of service. The full price for each visit is typically a minimum of $45. To learn more about this service, pleas visit www.chirohealthusa.com or ask us when you come in for your appointment.

Traditional Major Medical Insurance

This is what classification most insurances fall under. We accept most major medical insurance for example: Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, etc. Most insurance companies do, in fact, have chiropractic benefits.  However, benefits vary both by company and individual plan.

With some providers we are in network and with others we are out-of-network. Whether we are in- or out-of-network with your insurance company,  we will call and verify the benefits for your specific plan so that we can let you know exactly what your financial responsibility will be. We will keep you informed so that you are comfortable with every decision you make in our office. Your insurance may require a co-insurance or co-payment and this will be discussed with you in detail. There are no surprises in the mail this way! We will discuss your benefits one-on-one so that you will be well informed on what our verification of your insurance revealed.

Medicare

The most common question we are asked about Medicare is “Are you a participating provider?”  The answer is YES!  This means that if your condition warrants chiropractic care some or all of the services may be covered by Medicare and/or your secondary insurance.  There are a number of services we provide here at the office; we will tell you up front what is covered by Medicare and what is not.  Please feel free to call if you have any questions you would like answered before your appointment.

Workers Compensation and Personal Injury

When it comes to Workers Compensation it is important for you to know that it will be necessary for you to file a claim with your employer.  If you have a claim number and some simple contact information (name and phone number) you will not be responsible for any expenses--if it is found to be from the incident at work.  We do not make our Workers Compensation patients pay up front for their care in this office.  If you are found to be in need of time off or restricted activity, the doctor will provide you with the appropriate documentation at that time.

In the case of a Personal Injury situation there are a couple of scenarios.  If you have been in an auto accident or had any injury in the last two years, please make our office aware of this because you may not be responsible for your bill.  We will wait for payment from the insurance company or responsible party so that you do not need to pay up front.  We just ask that you get us the information about your case so we can contact the appropriate people.  If this is an injury that is more than two years old, you can talk to us about your specific case so we can get you some answers.

Medicaid / Medical Card

The most common question in regards to the Medical Card is whether or not we accept it. Due to limited reimbursement, the simple answer to that question is, unfortunately, no. However, as mentioned above in the Self Pay Options section, we do offer discounted service rates to those who join ChiroHealthUSA.
